You might have realized by now that our lottery syndicate is not really profit driven. By funding positions, allocating the same amount of lotto tickets in every group formed and creating affiliateship, we are expecting to lose a bit of our own money.

In the long term however, we think that this is the best way we could encourage more members to join in. More members means more national lottery tickets and better chance of winning a major lotto price.

Asda syndicate pockets huge win!

The Asda syndicate poses with an oversized cheque after winning the Lotto Rollover.

A syndicate of people who work together at the Asda Superstore in Hyde is celebrating after banking a Lotto Rollover jackpot in October 2011. The 16 colleagues are sharing a massive cheque for £6,873,588, taking home over £400,000 each.

Syndicate leader Debra Wilson formed the syndicate in January 2010 and has been ensuring the lucky numbers have been in the draw twice a week ever since. She says, ""We have had a few wins so far and had won about £300 this year, which is great, but this is unbelievable.""

The syndicate has stuck with the numbers chosen by Lucky Dip® from the first draw they played. Debra made a card with all the lines on for each syndicate member and admitted some check them regularly and some don't.

Debra says:

""It was Monday morning and one of the girls called and said we had won. I thought it was a wind-up and searched out the actual tickets to check them. I looked at the TV and then called Camelot.""

News soon spread across the group, with calls going back and forth confirming it wasn't a mistake or a wind-up.

The syndicate all came together for the first time after their win back at work on Tuesday 4th October, and Debra says it was a celebration:

""There were hugs and kisses all round, it was brilliant. The managers all came down to say well done and the store manager even gave me a hug. It is a great place to work and I think most of us will stay on, we have such a good time and are all good friends.""

Spending plans vary across the syndicate but most are looking to buy houses, invest in property, splash out on cars and book dream holidays. Debra says, ""I have always wanted to go to Vegas and there are even rumours of one of the girls getting a bit of plastic surgery.""

Syndicate players are enjoying winning!

Our syndicate players are proving that playing with friends, family and colleagues is altogether luckier, with a string of big wins.

The Magnificent Seven, a seven-strong syndicate, all based in Merseyside, scooped £45,570,835 in the EuroMillions draw on Friday 6th November, which had a whopping total jackpot of £90 million. Watch the Magnificent Seven video.

A syndicate of 13 engineers from Accrington scooped £3,938,641 after matching all six numbers on the Lotto Rollover draw in February 2009. Retired Winder, Arthur Whitaker, the syndicate leader, revealed the win to all syndicate members the following day. The syndicate has played Lotto since 1999 and always uses the same lines.

In November 2008, a 23-strong syndicate who work for a housing partnership in Haverhill celebrated after scooping a £2,630,225 Lotto jackpot win. The syndicate, called "Suffolk Lads and Lasses", have played Lotto online for 10 months. Syndicate leader Lucy Czilinsky received an email alert containing the good news that she should check the online account and in doing so discovered their jackpot win.

Remember, one in four Lotto jackpots are won by syndicates - miss out if you dare!
